This month we focus on the William and Florence Schmidt Art Center. The new gallery opened this year at Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville, Illinois. Egyptian supplied both Milliken Carpet and Steelcase Furniture to the Art Center. The Steelcase furniture was chosen not only to keep with the "cathedral for art" theme, but also to provide a durable, user friendly environment. The furniture design and color scheme also fit in with the theme of the entire building to create a warm, inviting environment for the presentation of art. The Milliken "Image Tile" Carpet was selected not only for it's durability and flexibility, but also for it's circular design and colors to be the focal point of the conference room.
